26 [Private to Project Stargate] [28 Apr 2009|12:33pm]
I'm working on an interesting project right now. Well I'm working on a number of projects, but one of them is related to one of the upcoming tasks. So I can't say a lot about it, except for it should be pretty amusing and cool to see how things go.

This weather is great, because I can finally take the Firebird out on the roads properly, without having to worry about salt and shit. The Mazda is coming along nicely. The Firebird was restored to factory specs, but the Mazda is going to have a whole bunch of adjustments and additions.

Right now I'm working on computerizing it so it will take voice commands. I'm thinking of a neural inteface. How cool would that be? Although it would require a brain chip implant. But the end result would be awesome.

Easter means more Peeps. I went out today and bought a whole bunch of post-Easter Peeps for cheap (rhymes) for more Peeps scenes, since I ran out of the ones I bought around Valentine's Day.

I'm going to be doing a whole bunch of movie scenes with Peeps.

Also, I tweaked the microwave in the kitchen. So don't use high power unless you really want something cooked. Right through. Possibly creamated. I was bored.

I don't watch Family Guy often, but when I heard TNG cast were going to be on it? I was there. And it was funny.

The cast should make appearances on all shows. They would improve all shows. Even those that are already great.

Now I feel it's necessary to go and watch some old TNG. Best Trek ever.

Also, on that topic, I can't wait for Star Trek. I don't know if I can wait until May. It looks fucking awesome.

This place sure is quiet with all the people gone off on missions. I guess because the missions teams includes a lot of the, shall we say, louder people.

So Spring is good for me because I'm looking forward to getting my Firebird out on the road. Didn't want to take her out while there was still snow and shit, because snow means salt and that salt does a number on cars.

Working on the Mazda RX-8 now. I've got her gutted right now. She's not going to be sfactory specs like the Firebird. I'll be tweaking the Mazda, adding in some stuff. She'll be a technological wonder.

But before I head down to the garage... lunch. Cold pizza is a perfect meal.

If I hadn't been sprung early, I would have had my parole hearing today. Huh.

Someone took R2D2 out in the snow.

I can tell because his treads were dripping wet. And also dirty.

R2 is sad. Don't do this. He's an indoor droid!

And I don't know what people could have been trying to clean outdoors. Unless they should he shoveled snow. He doesn't. Lazy asses.

Valentine's Day is barely in its heart-covered coffin and Easter stuff is flooding the stores. Its like a pastel bomb exploded. I went out to get some things and it was everywhere.

But that means Cream Eggs and Peeps, so that's okay. I don't actually like to eat Peeps, I mostly just like to set up little death scenes with them. Decapitated Peeps and stabbed Peeps and hung Peeps. Etcetera. Which sounds much more morbid than it really is.

I've spent the afternoon half working in my workshop and half watching Whose Line is It Anyway? (the British version). I'm working on several projects right now.

I want a Sonic Screwdriver. Maybe I'll make one.

Jarrod and I went to Jersey over the weekend to pick up a car. A Mazda RX-8. 2009 so it has the body facelift. It's just beat to shit right now. It's in the garage, it's the wrecker. Not for long.

We did some gambling. Won a little money. The world should have more buffets.

Someone sent R2 out into the snow. He is not happy because the water from the snow made some of the circuits in his tread board short out.

Let's clarify: R2 is an indoor droid. He'll clean the kitchen. Even the bathroom. He's not meant to shovel snow. Capice?

Tonight feels like a Heineken night.

And now I want to listen to Weezer.

I love trips to the junk yard. Because there's so much there that's not junk at all.

My car is almost finished. I finished rebuilding the engine this afternoon. I just need to do the paint job. I've decided on cherry red, because she deserves a little flash.

Oh, fanboy, I finished your Bumblebee Transformer. He tends to wander, so I made a remote for him so you can call him back if he goes awol.

In between working on projects I've been building a droid. I've named him R2D2 because... I made him look like R2D2. Except instead of being an astromech droid, he does cleaning. Bathrooms and kitchens specifically.

So you may notice him wandering around. Or rolling around, really. Don't make him clean up vomit, that's gross. Clean it yourself.

Kim - I have a project that could use some of your imput.

Now I'm going to go play old school Contra. That game was awesome.

It looks like the transmittor devices I made worked well. When people return, they can return them to me, so I can keep them all together. And make any repairs that need to be made.

I'm working on a few other things that might come in hands in future missions. One things I'm trying to create utlizes holograms as a way of disguise. Although I still have some bugs to work out. And I have to make it user friendly which it is not. Unless the user is me.

I also am working on a few remote control type things that look like children' toys, but aren't.

So, 2009, Happy New Year, yada yada. Should be an interesting year.

At random today I built a metal Christmas tree. I had different scrap pieces around and I was going to build a small desktop one but it ended up a six foot metal Christmas tree. With coloured lights. Complete with metal ornaments.

Now my workshop looks festive, at least till I decide what to do with it.

I'm half tempted to make a robotic Santa to go with. Which makes me think of that episode of The Simpsons with John the gay guy.

The Simpsons really can relate to anything.

I am designing a spy plane. For what, I don't know, since I don't have the resources to actually build it yet.

Neurological interface for the pilot(s), holographic camoflague, VTOL, disruptors to short out weapons of other aircraft, etc.

Hmmm.

Spoke too soon about needing some new projects, because now I have some. Projects from the big guys downstairs. Alright, big guys and gals. Should keep me busy for a little while at least. Plus I get to order supplies and parts and shit and that's always fun.

I might need some guinea pigs later on, to test a few of these things out, make sure they'll work. Even though I'm sure they'll work.

And a hello to the people who just got back. I'm Jonathan, I arrived while you guys were gone. I build stuff. Invent stuff. Machines and stuff. And the car on cinder blocks in the garage is mine. No touchy.

I suddenly find myself with a lot of extra space in my workshop room. Which means only one thing - more projects. Not that I don't have a million ideas already, and things on the go. Making a remote for the Transformers. They'll each have their own 3-digit code that they'll respond to.

Then maybe I'll make a perpetual motion machine. Do we obey the laws of thermodynamics in this house? (Points if you get the reference).

Spent the morning straightening and priming the pannels on my baby. Got the frame all back to factory standards too. Could be painting her soon. Then she'll look fucking pretty. Course the body work and the interior's the easy part. Under the hood comes next.

Night of the Living Dead and The Birds is a great way to spend an afternoon. Watching all these Halloween movies makes me want to make something 'festive'. Maybe a robotic bat that will fly around.

Also makes me wonder... who's the best horror movie hero type? I'm thinking it's Ash. Gotta be Ash. Of course there's Bad/Evil Ash too. I think that Ash, Alice from Resident Evil and Cherry Darling all need to get together in one giant zombie movie bonanza.

Cocks and then ketchup, what will be up for discussion next?

You guys are never boring, at least.

I've gutted my baby. She's on cinderblocks with the tires off, almost everything under the hood removed, the upholstery torn out. Skeletal right now. Now comes the fun part of putting it all back together. If anyone needs me, that's where you'll find me. Or in Jarrod's room
